A bit about me
Soo
what to tell you hmm well Reptiles have always fascinated me there’s just
something about them the fact they haven’t changed evolutionarily speaking for
thousands if not millions of years they have lived on the planet in on form or
another since the dawn of time unfortunately as a child I wasn’t allowed
anything more exotic than hamsters as a child I eventually persuaded mum to let
me have some stick insects and I infuriated the neighbour by constantly helping
myself to his lovely privet hedge anyway they escaped and mum was finding them
for years after so that really was the straw that broke the camels back
I wanted my own snake for years and years but way back then they were so
expensive and not readily available like they are nowadays
So a few years ago I bought a second-hand fish tank I thought woohoo finally my dreams of owning my own snake are about to be realised somehow I ended up with fish lol still not quite sure how that happened but anyway eventually I was given a large faunarium so I was adamant that’s it im getting my first snake!! I did loads of research and looked into what would be best for me and if I could afford to feed and care for it properly etc then came the fateful day I bought Eddie from a reptile shop in Weston super mare they told me id be back soon for another as snakes were addictive little did I realise just how right they were I now have 6!! five corn snakes and a beautiful ball python snakes get such a bad press and I think the world needs a re education in the world of snakes so many of my once phobic friends and family now absolutely love to handle my snakes personally I think that’s great that’s a few more informed people that know snakes aren’t the big bad kitten eating monsters as they are portrayed in the media they make great pets and don’t require lots of space or special needs unlike such things as bearded dragons or geckos etc
